One NZ Rebrands with Sustainable Workwear

Client | One NZ

At the beginning of 2022, De Vere had the privilege of being selected to assist Vodafone in their rebranding journey to become One NZ. This was an exciting opportunity for us, as the brief presented a diverse range of considerations that needed to be addressed in order to support the ongoing rebrand.

One of the main challenges was finding the perfect balance between the tech-driven nature of One NZ and the natural inspiration that New Zealand has to offer. We wanted to create a team wear range that seamlessly integrated both elements, resulting in a design that felt energetic and dynamic.

Another crucial aspect of the brief was to ensure that the team wear was practical and functional for a diverse group of individuals. We understood that the garments needed to cater to various body types and preferences, while also being comfortable and gender neutral. This meant designing pieces that were not form-fitting, but rather allowed for ease of movement and a relaxed fit.

Additionally, sustainability played an important role in our design approach. We aimed to create a range of garments that not only looked and felt great, but also had a positive impact on the environment. By carefully selecting fabrics that were sustainable and considering their touch, feel, and end of life, we were able to align One’s rebrand with their commitment to corporate social responsibility.

We were involved from the early stages of the rebranding process, working closely with both One's internal brand team and the external agency. This allowed us to provide valuable insights and guidance on how to translate the digital brand into tangible team wear. By leveraging our expertise in circular design solutions, which we have successfully implemented for other clients such as AT and Air NZ, we were able to deliver a range that not only met but exceeded One's aspirations.

Ultimately, the team wear we created for Vodafone's rebrand to One NZ successfully captured the essence of both their tech-driven identity and New Zealand's natural inspiration.

The range was not only visually appealing and energetic, but also practical, comfortable, gender neutral, and sustainable. We are proud to have played a part in bringing One’s vision to life and supporting them in their rebranding journey.
